Terms of Service (Beta)

Please read before use. Frensei is an AI Japanese learning service provided as a beta (trial) release. Features, quality, and content may change without notice during the beta period. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

Article 1 — General

1. These Terms of Service govern your use of Frensei, an AI Japanese learning service operated by Frensei.

2. By accessing or using the service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

3. The service is provided as a beta version and may differ in quality, features, and stability from a future production release.

Article 2 — Nature of the Beta Service

  • Accuracy of AI-powered Japanese learning support is not guaranteed.
  • Content, features, and specifications may change, be added, or removed without notice.
  • Service interruptions or shutdowns may occur without notice.
  • Service conditions may change after the beta period ends.
  • Beta data and learning history may not carry over to a future release.

Article 3 — Disclaimers (Important)

3-1 AI accuracy: AI-generated explanations, translations, and examples are for reference only. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

3-2 Learning outcomes: We do not guarantee any specific improvement in Japanese ability.

3-3 Service outages and data loss: We are not liable for interruptions, data loss, or corruption due to outages, maintenance, or unforeseen events.

3-4 Third-party services: We are not liable for issues caused by external APIs or third-party providers.

3-5 Limitation of liability: Our liability is limited to direct, ordinary damages, capped at fees paid in the prior three months (or ¥1,000 if free).

Article 4 — User Responsibilities

  • Use the service appropriately as a supplementary Japanese learning tool.
  • Do not blindly trust AI answers; verify important information from official sources.
  • Do not use the service for unlawful or abusive purposes.
  • Do not infringe the rights of others.
  • Do not place excessive load on the service systems.

Article 5 — Intellectual Property

Content in the service belongs to us or rightful owners. You may use it only for personal learning; unauthorized copying or redistribution is prohibited.

Article 6 — Privacy

We handle personal information according to our Privacy Policy.

Article 7 — Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms at any time. Updated Terms take effect when posted on the service.

Article 8 — Termination

We may terminate the beta service at any time, with or without notice.

Article 9 — Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts where we are located.
